In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) has become a top priority. Ultraviolet (UV) room disinfection systems are designed to reduce HAIs by disinfecting surfaces using UV light. These systems are typically portable towers that emit light in the UVC wavelength range. Microorganisms are highly susceptible to UV light at 253.7nm, which deactivates DNA/RNA and prevents reproduction and cellular repair.
