Flu Vaccine Recommendations Released for Pediatric, Adult Patients

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released its updated recommendations on flu vaccination in the September 2018 issue of Pediatrics. AAP states that patients 6 months old or older should receive flu vaccine injections as soon as they become available this flu season. AAP says that only patients who are at least 2 years old (and who would otherwise not receive the flu vaccine) should be given the nasal spray vaccine.
