Flu Vaccine Recommendations Released for Pediatric, Adult Patients

​The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released its updated recommendations on flu vaccination in the September 2018 issue of Pediatrics. AAP states that patients 6 months old or older should receive flu vaccine injections as soon as they become available this flu season. AAP says that only patients who are at least 2 years old (and who would otherwise not receive the flu vaccine) should be given the nasal spray vaccine.
