Laying the Foundation with Six Building Blocks: AHRQ Releases Opioid Toolkit for Primary Care Providers

​A new online toolkit from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) aims to help organizations take a team-based approach to improving opioid management in primary care. The toolkit builds on the Six Building Blocks, which AHRQ says can help clinicians and staff, quality improvement personnel, and administrators improve the care of patients undergoing long-term opioid therapy.
