Teamwork, Patient Care Tracking Strongest Elements of Safety Culture in Ambulatory Care

​Teamwork and patient care tracking/follow-up were the strongest elements of patient safety culture identified by providers and staff working in ambulatory care practices who responded to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Medical Office Survey of Patient Safety Culture, states an AHRQ report. The survey, which measures ambulatory patient safety culture from the perspectives of providers and staff, is intended to be used for benchmarking performance and identifying areas with the potential for improvement.
