AHRQ Resources Facilitate Provider/Patient Discussions about Treating Alcohol Use Disorder

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) issued two new resources to help primary care providers and patients make informed decisions about which medication a patient should take to treat alcohol use disorder. Based on a 2014 AHRQ-funded review, the research summaries include one report for primary care providers that offers a summary of the evidence for several medications and may additionally be used as a continuing education credit activity.
