AHRQ Resources Facilitate Provider/Patient Discussions about Treating Alcohol Use Disorder

​The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) issued two new resources to help primary care providers and patients make informed decisions about which medication a patient should take to treat alcohol use disorder. Based on a 2014 AHRQ-funded review, the research summaries include one report for primary care providers that offers a summary of the evidence for several medications and may additionally be used as a continuing education credit activity.
