The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Public Health Law Program has announced the release of several menus assessing state prescription drug overdose laws. According to CDC, the United States is in the midst of an unprecedented epidemic of prescription drug overdose deaths, and state governments have the primary responsibility to regulate and enforce prescription drug practice.
