​A nursing home in Tennessee will not be allowed to accept new patients after state inspectors cited it for 11 violations, including a failure to identify and treat pressure injuries and failure to treat surgical wounds, according to a November 27, 2017, article from CBS's Memphis affiliate. In addition to notifying the facility that they will no longer be allowed to admit new patients, the state fined the facility $50,000. The 211-bed facility caught the attention of CBS in September 2017, after police launched an elder abuse investigation into the facility. Ambulance workers called to transport an older man who was running a high fever to the hospital found him "in feces," the article said.
