Buying a Physician Practice? Ask These Questions
July 18, 2012 | Risk Management News
Probing questions can help clarify an organization’s motivation for and considerations that must still be resolved before buying a physician practice, states an article published in the July 2012 hfm Magazine. The author of the article notes that such careful deliberation before a practice is purchased can prevent a “dysfunctional” relationship between the hospital and practice, which would be characterized by lack of agreement on strategic goals, staff disgruntlement, low practice productivity or revenues, and other negative factors.
