Philips—Varian RPM Drive Used with Various Brilliance and Ingenuity Computed Tomography Systems: Drive May Not Be Mapped in CT User after Login/Logout

In a March 8, 2016, Customer Information letter submitted by an ECRI Institute member hospital, Philips states that on the above systems and software, the Varian RPM drive may not be mapped in the CT user profile after login/logout. The Map Drive utility maps the Varian drive using full Varian credentials in the service login and then creates a script that maps it with full Varian credentials in the CT user login. Once the script has run in the CT login and the user acknowledges the drive mapped successfully, the script deletes itself. On subsequent logins, the drive will not connect because the Varian credentials are no longer available. If this occurs, the user will be unable to perform pulmonary gated scans.
