Healthcare workers in Michigan were notified that they may have been in close contact with a worker diagnosed with tuberculosis (TB), according to a February 22, 2018, article on MLive.com. The worker did not know he had been infected with TB at the time, and he may have been in contact with more than 600 individuals at two hospitals and a long-term care facility in southeastern Michigan between May 1, 2017, and January 31, 2018. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is working with local health departments to determine the health status of patients and staff who may have been in contact with the worker, according to the article.
