NQF Endorses 12 Complication-Related Patient Safety Measures

The National Quality Forum (NQF) has endorsed 12 patient safety measures that focus on complications, according to a December 17, 2012, NQF press release. The measures, which address a range of quality concerns, including falls, pressure ulcers, and healthcare-associated infections, were selected from 21 measures that were submitted to NQF’s patient safety endorsement project and include those that have been endorsed for at least three years and are now undergoing NQF endorsement maintenance.
