Laser Safety

Surgical lasers, when not used properly, may present significant risks to patients and staff. This Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) is designed to help risk managers and laser safety officers evaluate their facility's laser safety program and ensure that measures are in place to address safe equipment operation, proper use of protective equipment, fire prevention, education and training of laser operators and support staff, and credentialing of physicians who perform laser-based procedures.
