​The parents of a premature infant who was allegedly injured by a massive nutrient overdose at a Florida hospital were awarded $19.2 million in damages and will petition the state legislature to lift the state's sovereign immunity damages cap, which limits recovery to $200,000.

The infant was born at almost 25 weeks' gestation and received a formula of nutrients for premature children that allegedly contained 100 times the proper dose.
