  • The Visera 4K UHD system is a Native 4K surgical video system that provides 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD; 3840 × 2160 pixels) and Full 4K (4096 × 2160 pixels) surgical video images. (“Native 4K" video is acquired with a 4K camera chip, and the image is retained in 4K format throughout the video chain.)
  • The Visera 4K UHD system supports Narrow Band Imaging (NBI), an advanced imaging technique for visualizing vascular structures on the mucosal surface. NBI uses light in narrow wavelength bands centered around 415 (blue) and 540 (green) nm, which are strongly absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood. As a result, blood vessels and capillaries are displayed darker and more prominently. Other tissues will tend to scatter the light, causing them to be light-colored in appearance (Gono 2015).
