  • In addition to its main function as a 3-D HD surgical video system, the 3D Imaging System can also be used to provide 2-D HD surgical video images, or as a platform for flexible endoscopes, including:
    • Bronchoscopes
    • Colonoscopes
    • Gastroscopes
  • The 3D Imaging System supports Narrow Band Imaging (NBI), an advanced imaging technique for visualizing vascular structures on the mucosal surface. NBI uses light in narrow wavelength bands centered around 415 (blue) and 540 (green) nm, which are strongly absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood. As a result, blood vessels and capillaries are displayed darker and more prominently. Other tissues will tend to scatter the light, causing them to be light-colored in appearance. (Gono 2015)
