The Hitachi Aloka SOFIA Automated Breast Tomography (ABT) system is a very good choice for facilities that want an automated whole-breast ultrasound (AWBUS) scanner to complement their breast imaging services. It is easy to use, can perform a bilateral breast exam in less than 10 minutes, and offers several workflow advantages related to data acquisition as well as to review and reporting. Our Evaluation did not identify any disadvantages for this device.
