U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) New Technology Add-on Payment (NTAP) and Transitional Ambulatory Payment Classification Pass-through Payment Status payments and available CPT reimbursement codes make CardioMEMS™ HF System (St. Jude Medical, Inc., St. Paul, MN, USA) use more feasible and are likely to facilitate payment for implanting and monitoring the device; however, whether reimbursement is sufficient to cover costs remains to be seen.
