Home care faces unique risk exposures. Homes are designed for living, not the provision of healthcare, and home care is appended to the usual course of the client's daily life. Two key aspects—the fact that staff members usually work alone and the organization's general lack of control over the work environment—make risks involving home care staff a particular concern.
This Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) is intended to help risk managers evaluate staff-related risks in home care and protect the organization and its workers.
