Lessons from Organizations Worldwide Expanding into Home and Community-Based Services

​Residential care organizations considering expanding into home and community-based services (HCBS) may be interested in a new publication from LeadingAge and the International Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing. The document presents the stories of nine not-for-profit organizations, including nursing homes, continuing care organizations, and a provider of continuing care at home, from four countries that have expanded their services. The organizations generally saw offering the new services as a way to fulfill their missions, expand their consumer base, and develop potential new revenue sources.
