New and Updated Resources Available under the Hospice Quality Reporting Program

​The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released new and updated resources related to the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP). Resources include a Getting Started document that provides an overview of requirements for the Hospice Item Set (HIS) and the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Hospice Survey, and is geared toward new providers and staff. The “getting started" document also provides background information for each requirement, data submission deadlines, possible exemptions, tips for compliance, and links to related resources. Other updated resources recently released include an activities checklist to help guide and facilitate HQRP compliance, and a fact sheetthat outlines requirements for the fiscal year 2019 reporting year.
