​The U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman, Pat Tiberi (R-Ohio), announced the “Medicare Red Tape Relief Project," an initiative that aims to roll back mandates and regulations that “impede innovation, drive up costs, and ultimately stand in the way of delivering better care for Medicare beneficiaries," according to a press release from July 24, 2017. The first stage of the initiative requests feedback from providers and other stakeholders to help identify specific policies that improve—or don't improve—health care.
