HHS Materials to Aid Discussions about Brain Health
July 3, 2014 | Aging Services Risk, Quality, & Safety Guidance
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released a set of plain-language, evidence-based materials to aid discussions with older adults about brain health, according to a June 25, 2014, press release from the Administration for Community Living (ACL). The Brain Health Resource has four elements. The first is a PowerPoint presentation that teaches older adults about brain health and steps they can take to reduce risks to brain health (e.g., taking steps to reduce falls, avoiding excessive alcohol, getting enough sleep, managing diabetes and blood pressure).
