The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has clarified requirements regarding physician delegation of certain tasks to nonphysician practitioners in skilled nursing facilities and nursing facilities, in accordance with section 3108 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
