An article in the February 2015 Journal of the American Medical Directors Association describes development of a questionnaire for residents and staff to complete to measure the person-centeredness of assisted living, from the perspective of each group. The questionnaire was also developed to help demonstrate the person-centeredness of assisted living because person-centeredness is a requirement for Medicaid coverage of home- and community-based services. The questionnaire underwent cognitive testing in 2 assisted-living settings and field testing in 19 assisted-living settings.
