​Even the most effective falls prevention program will not eliminate all resident falls. Aging services organizations must have a plan in place to provide immediate care to a fallen resident and evaluate the individual for injuries, determine what may have contributed to the fall, address contributing factors, and revise the resident's care plan to reduce the likelihood of another fall. Several resources and tools, such as those listed below, are available to help staff respond to and analyze falls.
