Event Reporting Training Program

​​​​The overarching goal of event reporting is to improve safety and enhance the work environment using lessons learned from adverse events to improve policies, procedures, equipment, and work practices. Preventive actions can then be taken to protect patients, residents, visitors, and staff from similar risks.

Once a new or revised event reporting system is selected and leadership support is obtained, training must be provided to clinicians, management, and staff.
