ECRI Institute's researchers conduct unbiased, objective technical assessments on drugs, devices, and medical procedures for hospitals, government agencies, and health plans, that are available through our membership programs. As part of our mission to improve patient care, we also believe that patients should have access to reliable medical resources and safety information:

• Patient Safety Center
  The free resources in our Patient Safety Center are derived from our membership services. Topics include patient safety, risk management, and medical device safety resources, as well as patient safety advisories from the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Reporting System and information on our Medical Device Problem-Reporting System.
  
• Reference Guides and Resources
  ECRI Institute offers our Patient Reference Guides based on technical assessments performed by our experts. The development of these Guides is part of our vision to create a National Patient Library™ of patient-friendly, evidence-based medical information.
