Two More Weeks: OSHA Extends Compliance Date for Electronic Reporting Requirement of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses

​The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has extended the date by which employers must electronically report injury and illness data until December 15, 2017, OSHA announced. This is a two-week extension from the previous extension (see Physician Practice E-News, July 10, 2017: OSHA Proposes Delay to Rule Requiring Electronic Submission of Injury and Illness Data). OSHA's final rule will require certain employers to submit the work-related injury and illness information that they already collect to OSHA electronically through the agency's injury tracking application.
