The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) offers free resources online and in print to help healthcare organizations engage patients in their care and shared decision-making. The brochure Measuring Your Blood Pressure at Home helps educate patients about hypertension and explains how to properly take a blood pressure reading at home. Another brochure, Reducing the Risk of Bone Fracture, explains how low bone density can increase the risk of breaking a bone and what research has found about different treatments to lower the risk, and it can help patients talk with doctors about treatment options.
