A new U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) draft recommendation urges physicians to screen for gestational diabetes mellitus in asymptomatic pregnant women after 24 weeks of gestation. The recommendation is rated as grade B, meaning that USPSTF has a high certainty that the net benefit is moderate or moderate certainty that the net benefit is moderate to substantial.
