FBI Investigates Hospice Owner Who Ordered Nurses to Prescribe Overdoses for Profit

​The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated a Dallas-area hospice whose owner allegedly ordered employees to increase patients' drug dosages in order to hasten their deaths and maximize the organization's profits, according to a March 30, 2016 article on ModernHealthcare.com. An FBI search warrant alleged that the owner ordered higher doses for at least four patients and that he sent text messages to workers such as, "You need to make this patient go bye-bye."
