Safe Injection Practices Coalition Releases Educational Materials on Insulin Pen Safety

As part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) One and Only Campaign, the Safe Injection Practices Coalition has released a poster and brochure to help remind healthcare providers that multiuse insulin pens should never be used on more than one patient, even when the needle is changed. CDC recommends that insulin pens be clearly labeled with the patient's name or other identifying information to ensure that the correct pen is used only on the correct individual.
