HRSA Provides Resources Promoting National Poison Prevention Week

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of National Poison Prevention Week (March 18 to 24, 2012) the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has provided complimentary poison prevention resources at http://www.poisonhelp.hrsa.gov. According to HRSA, poisoning has surpassed motor vehicle accidents as the leading cause of injury deaths. The agency says that 90% of poisoning deaths are caused by drugs, including an increasing proportion of prescription painkillers.
