The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a free smartphone application to help improve maternal and neonatal management of group B Streptococcus disease prevention at the point of care. Developed in collaboration with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Nurse-Midwives, and the American Academy of Family Physicians, the application, Prevent Group B Strep, features patient-specific and scenario-specific guidance consistent with the 2010 guidelines for the prevention of perinatal group B Streptococcus disease.
