Some people are urging a hospital to terminate the clinical privileges of an obstetrician-gynecologist practicing in St. Louis, Missouri, who posted information about a patient on her Facebook page, including information about the patient’s past stillbirth, states a February 7, 2013, article published on NYDailyNews.com. Several people were outraged about the posts she shared with her 470 Facebook friends: “So I have a patient who has chosen to either no-show or be late (sometimes hours) for all of her prenatal visits, ultrasounds and NSTs. She is now 3 hours late for her induction. May I show up late to her delivery?” A later status update said that the patient had experienced a previous stillbirth.
