The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has approved adult and pediatric immunization schedules for 2017. Changes to both schedules include new or revised information on influenza, human papillomavirus, hepatitis B, and meningococcal vaccines; the pediatric schedule also contains changes to guidance on the Haemophilus influenzae type B, pneumococcal, and DTaP (diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and acellular pertussis) vaccines. ACIP provides easy-to-read versions of the schedules for patients, provider resources for vaccine conversations with parents, and information on vaccines in delay or shortage.
