CDC says the public health threat to the United States is low, adding that because it is flu season, healthcare providers should take preventive actions to stop the spread of germs and encourage influenza vaccination. Flu season is already stretching resources thin in healthcare facilities, says a February 7, 2020, article in the New York Times, causing public health experts to closely watch reserves of vital medicine supplies, many of which come from China.
