"Be Antibiotics Aware": CDC Adds More Videos and Resources

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has added more resources to "Be Antibiotics Aware," its educational campaign about smart use of antibiotics for best patient care. Formerly called "Get Smart about Antibiotics," the project is a national effort to improve antibiotic prescribing and fight antibiotic resistance. According to CDC, antibiotics are prescribed unnecessarily at least 80 million times a year, making curbing inappropriate prescribing an urgent national priority.
