In a February 21, 2012, Urgent Medical Device Recall letter, LifeScan states that the blood glucose meters below may turn off automatically when a user attempts to access the results log to view stored test results. If this problem occurs, the meter will enter set up mode when it is turned back on and require the user to confirm the date and time settings before being able to test again. LifeScan states that the issue has no effect on the accuracy of the test results or functions that include onscreen pattern notifications, averages, result tagging, or downloading, and no data is lost.
