Ansell—SANDEL Weighted Safety Scalpels: Blades May Be Visibly Exposed

In a November 11, 2013, Urgent Voluntary Recall letter submitted by an ECRI Institute member hospital, Ansell states that the scalpels below may have exposed blades, potentially resulting in injury or sterility breaches. The scalpel shield may not cover the blade fully, potentially causing scalpels to move and pierce the inner packaging.
