Patient Becomes Paraplegic after Urgent Care Providers Misdiagnose Spine Fracture; $1.1M Settlement

A patient became paraplegic after a physician and a physician assistant (PA) at an urgent care facility allegedly misdiagnosed his spine fracture. In a lawsuit the patient brought in Massachusetts state court against the urgent care facility, the urgent care physician, and the PA, the parties have settled for $1.1 million, according to an article in the August 2021 issue of Medical Malpractice Verdicts, Settlements & Experts.
