WMTS Bandwidth Deliberations Continue; ASHE Reminds Hospitals to Register Systems

As officials from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continue to deliberate over maintaining television channel 37 (608 to 614 MHz) for wireless medical telemetry service (WMTS), the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) is asking that all hospitals register their systems to inform the decision, according to a recent update on the ASHE website. FCC is evaluating reallocating this bandwidth as part of a much larger effort to reallocate portions of the television bands to new use.
