Healthcare risk managers may be interested in a November 10, 2014, Wall Street Journal article that discusses the importance of following up on "incidental findings" that are discovered during diagnostic tests. ​According to the article, studies show that these findings, which are unrelated to the medical conditions that prompted the diagnostic tests, occur in as many as one third of imaging studies but are often omitted from a patient's record.
