​A multi-component strategy helped a 100-bed community hospital in Ohio eliminate all incidence of healthcare-associated Clostridium difficileinfection, according to a guest post by the hospital's infection prevention manager, published on November 1, 2017, on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Safe Healthcare Blog. Before 2015, the hospital had 40% more C. difficileinfections than predicted from baseline, the author said.
