Teleflex—Gripper Graspers and Johans Graspers: May Be Mislabeled as Each Other

In a September 9, 2016, Urgent Medical Device Recall Notification letter submitted by an ECRI Institute member hospital, Teleflex states that the above Gripper graspers may be mislabeled as Johans graspers and that the above Johans graspers may be mislabeled as Gripper graspers. Teleflex also states that if a practitioner does not recognize that a device is incorrectly labeled and uses the wrong device, tissue damage may occur.
