A new online training coursefrom the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) will help organizations evaluate compliance with new emergency preparedness requirements, which go into effect on November 15, 2017. CMS issued a final rule in September 2016 requiring healthcare organizations to prepare for the event of natural and man-made disasters (see HRC Alerts, September 14, 2016: Final Emergency Preparedness Rule for Hospitals Issued by CMS).
