Department of Labor Rescinds Beleaguered "Persuader Rule"

​The U.S. Department of Labor announced on July 17, 2018, that it has rescinded its 2016 "Persuader Rule." The rule, which was covered in HRC Alerts, March 30, 2016, would have required employers to disclose whether an outside consultant scripted or drafted what a manager or supervisor says to workers in a direct or indirect effort to affect an employee's decisions regarding his or her representation or collective bargaining rights.
