July 3, 2013 | Strategic Insights for Health System
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a patient notification toolkit to assist healthcare organizations and health departments when an infection control breach results in potential patient exposure to infectious organisms. Designed for use after a facility or other entity identifies that an unsafe practice or other infection control breach has occurred, the toolkit includes resources and templates to facilitate a swift, effective, and consistent notification process. The toolkit is broken down into four parts.
