The American Hospital Association (AHA) is concerned that The Leapfrog Group’s recently released scorecard assessing the safety of more than 2,600 American hospitals is neither fair nor accurate, according to comments in a June 22, 2012, letter from AHA to The Leapfrog Group’s chief executive officer. In the letter, AHA reaffirms its members’ commitment to transparency and their desire to make credible and reliable information on hospital quality and safety available to the public so that patients can make informed health choices.
