OIG Solicits Comments on Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Inspector General (OIG) is soliciting input for consideration in updating its Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol, states a June 18, 2012, Federal Register notice. OIG first published the Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol in 1998 to establish a process for healthcare providers to disclose potential fraud involving federal healthcare programs.
